| Since China joined WTO, China’s economy has developed rapidly and its economic potential as well as trade development have been inspired. Foreign private enterprise has entered the domestic market so that state-owned private have enterprises have a growing number of competitors.Thus they are under greater pressure. Because management is the core step of private enterprises in modern society, to establish a highly efficient and fully applicable performance appraisal management system is very important.Designing performance appraisal plan is the first necessity of establishing a modern human resource management system which in accordance with China’s conditions in private enterprises. In front of the fierce market competition, private enterprises meet an urgent and important task. That is, according to the China’s condition, how to design and establish a set of scientific performance appraisal management plans which are in accordance with the fact that private enterprises are becoming more and more important in China. Based on scientific and proper definition of KPI, the process of realizing the goal of performance appraisal is the design and establishment of performance appraisal plan.In fact, the key of performance appraisal plan is how to properly define its KPI index. It can affect the plan’s objectivity. And it is also the core of encouraging the staff. Although now many private enterprises have their own ways of appraising, the personnel who are assessed still have low satisfaction. They often complain the result of appraising is not fair. In fact, the most difficult part of defining KPI is quantitative index. Now, most of the private enterprises doubt the definition of KPI more or less. Thus some of them have violated the principle and goals of establishing index. They only consider the routine work of one or several departments, so they neglect the contribution of the whole process. Some private enterprises even establish their goals according to managers’subjective wishes. Thus the goals have strong arbitrariness and cannot be implemented.According to previous study, this article explains the integrity of implementing, commissioning and appraising the whole performance appraisal process taking the case study of SY Company as the starting point of implementing the performance appraisal. This article carries out the study according to the thought of first putting forward the problem, In the analysis of the phenomenon, and then analyzes the problems, and finally solving the problem. Firstly, analyze the abnormal phenomena arisen in the daily performance appraisal of SK Company, extract and purify where the problem lies from the abnormal phenomena, then analyze and explain the study background and significance of this topic through relevant domestic and overseas studies and theories; secondly, make thorough and intensive analysis as to the current situation of the present performance appraisal of SY Company and the existing problem in this process; finally design and formulate the performance appraisal plan taking KPI as the core combined with the actual situation of SY Company, therefore explain the availability of KPI appraisal plan to SY Company and put forward the existing deficiencies of this study and the degree to reach in the future. We hope by this study, the performance appraisal plan based on KPI can be applied and improved in China’s private enterprises and therefore feasibility of this study can be verified. |
