The Research On Foreign Investment Motivation Of Chinese High-tech Industry

Economic globalization has become the trend of world economic development. Since the reform of opening policy, Chinese economic strength and international capabilities are developing quickly, government has improved the investment promotion policy. Chinese foreign direct investment has developed fast. With the advent of the scientific and technological revolution, many countries around the world pay more and more attention to the development of high technology industry. High tech industry is becoming a leading industry group, making technological breakthroughs in the information, new materials,energy, biological medicine, aviation and other industries. High tech industry promotes the social productive forces and changes people’s production and life style. This paper will focus on the motivation of foreign investment in Chinese high and new technology industry. The researches of domestic and foreign scholars mainly concentrate on the motive of a country’s overall foreign investment. But there are few researches on the motivation of investment in high tech industry. Investment motivation has reference value for enterprises to make investment plans. Therefore, it has great practical significance to study the motivation of foreign investment in Chinese high and new technology industry.This paper uses data and cases to draw the conclusion. It illustrates the present situation of Chinese high tech industry first. It will summarize from five aspects: industrial scale, R&D activities, import and export, foreign investment and international comparison.And studying the motivation of foreign investment in Chinese high-tech industry combined with Chinese high-tech industry representative cases. Finally, draw lessons from the success of foreign high-tech industry. Chinese high-tech industry should strengthen its own R&D capabilities, and strive to enhance their own brand image. The results of the research will provide references for Chinese high tech industry in making foreign investment strategies.
