May 24,2008, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Finance jointly published an announcement named "Notice on deepening reform of the telecommunications system" to launch a new round of telecom restructuring. The restructuring awarded three 3G licenses, then, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology awarded 4G licenses in 2013. The result is that balance competition emerged among the three best communication companies of China. They are China Mobile Communication Corporation (CMCC), China Union Communication Corporation (CUCC) and China Telecommunications Corporation (CTC). CMCC have to face more intense competition. How to maintain and expand the competitive advantage in the new competitive situation has become the urgent important problem of CMCC. There is no huge difference among CMCC, CUCC and CTC. So, enhance the corporate performance is one effective way to address this important issue of CMCC.The purpose of this study is researching the performance management status of CD Branch of China Mobile. We tried our best to explore those problems that currently exist in the performance evaluation of the company, and make constructive improvement strategies. We structure this paper from problem finding to problem analyzing and problem solving. In order to achieve this purpose, firstly, we studied many number of literatures on performance management at home and abroad; second, we design a questionnaire that includes 19 questions to dig the problems existing in the current performance management from the employee’s perspective. Finally, we summarized some shortages of the current performance management of CD Branch of China Mobile, according to collect, collate and analyze the results of the questionnaire.From an empirical point of view to study the performance assessment of the situation of the CD Branch of China Mobile, found the problem, and put forward useful suggestions for the company to optimize the performance evaluation. In this paper, use the theory of performance evaluation to solve performance management practice problems, has a certain practical significance.
