As globalized economy become more and more prevalent and developed in modern society, Chinese corporations are having more active business interactions with corporations in other countries. For Chinese corporations, international purchasing is not a new concept; however, even though a lot of Chinese corporations have been participating in international sourcing for a long time, the strategic planning in procurement/international purchasing management is still not well known an adopted by most Chinese corporations. Most Chinese corporations fail to recognize international purchasing as part of the strategic developments for the institution, and spend very little efforts in optimizing the management efforts in international purchasing procedures. The overlooking of develop strategic management plans is likely to cause the corporations overspending budget situations an inefficiencies in overall managements. Moreover, in the long run, the corporations will not have a successful branding internationally. In this paper, the current issues in international purchasing managements are identified, examined and strategic solutions are provided in considerations of the current trends and best practices in international purchasing managements.
