As a result, the handling orders of most China’s shipbuilding enterprise declined seriously and faced losses, although China has increased her share in the world of traditional shipbuilding by taking the labor advantage. With low ship transaction price, how to reduce construction cost and shorten construction period become to the key method to improve the profits. It makes the fine management as main way of transforming shipbuilding enterprise to be imperative. Learn experience from other construction industry, ERP, a representative information management system, will be promoted in shipbuilding enterprise.This paper is aiming at studying the promotion of ERP information management system in shipbuilding enterprises. It not only explains target scope and implementati on requirements of technology module, purchasing module, storage module and produ ction module in ERP system, but also introduces the promotion requirements and cont rol strategies in Zhejiang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. by combining project management th eory and shipbuilding enterprise features, respectively from the view of project organi zation, cost management, schedule management and risk management. It’s a good stu dy and reference for other shipbuilding enterprises in implementation of information management and lean management.The paper provides practical solutions for solving problems during actual trials. The conclusion of this study is that promoting ERP information management system i n shipbuilding enterprises by method of project management can effectively provide i nformation construction plans, avoid information management risks, as well as offer c ertain reference implementation of information management and lean management for other shipbuilding enterprises.
