As people raising the level of economy, people have disposable income and leisure time, original travel mode has already can’t satisfy people’s needs, sports tourism as a new thing came into being. Qinhuangdao as a famous summer resort, has very unique resources, but compared to dalian and Qingdao city adjacent, indeed there is a certain gap, so the study of the local sports tourism market, has certain theoretical and practical significance.In this paper, in the process of research and write, using the survey method, system analysis method and questionnaire investigation, etc., on the local market development carried on the thorough analysis.First of all, the analysis of the current situation of the local sports tourism market: sports tourism consumers for beijing-tianjin-hebei three more working-class in young adults, families and individuals in the summer holidays and weekend spontaneous organizations, participation in swimming, slippery sand and grass skiing and sea fishing and other recreational activities, consumers participate in sports tourism was positively associated with the degree of attitude and its culture. Qinhuangdao region has rich sports tourism resources, and new supporting service facilities and projects, as operators use the existing facilities and premises, we regularly organize relevant sports tourism event, but the lack of effective measures and system, the administrative department cause development of sports tourism market as a whole lost momentum.Secondly, the paper analyses the problems faced by the local market: stagnation and decline phenomenon, the main reason is that the consumer overall consumption level is low, the operator lack of depth development and consciousness of legal system, administrative department of the publicity of inaction, and the product itself characteristic and so on.Finally, in view of the problems and the state put forward the local market development strategy, clear in the course of development the demand, on providing personalized customer service; Operators in the local market as the guidance, strengthen the differentiation of sports tourism products of publicity and output; Government departments according to the planning management of the local situation, actively carry out joint collaboration between regions; Dig deeper into the local resources and services window, carefully designed a product with the brand effect.
