Recently, comparing with the slowing development of traditional foreign trade, the progress of cross-border electronic business is becoming more and more quickly with the great improvement of global information and communication technology as well as the revolution of people’s consumption idea. At present, the usage of "Internet + foreign trade" to optimize the import and export business, promote open economic development as well as to create a new economic growth point has become the focus of China’s foreign trade, which marks the role and weight of cross-border electricity business in the development of China’s foreign trade will further enhance, highlight and increase. Although the development of cross-border electricity business has caused a high attention and local support from government, however, which is still faced with many problems and the relevant enterprises require for government to further introduce policies and measures to promote the healthy and rapid development of cross-border e-commerce.In the domestic and foreign, the theoretical research on the cross-border e-commerce is less, it can be said that the theoretical study lags far behind the practical application. This paper mainly discusses the current situation of the development of cross-border e-commerce in Suzhou, analyzes the role of the government in this field, the achievements have been made, and the problems and the reasons existing, then the countermeasures for the government and the function of government are analyzed. Which provides a theoretical basis for the transformation of government functions, improve work efficiency, and create a policy and social environment conducive to the development of cross-border e-commerce.
