Due to the existence of China’s urban-rural dual structure, it is unable to establish a social security system covering urban and rural universe for now. Farmers gave land more functions of protection and value-added, for them,land is no longer simple means of production, is the carrier of life, production, employment and pension.Along with the acceleration of the urbanization process, the urban land area is developing continuously, occupying a large number of rural land, which brings many problems. The biggest one is that the problem of land lost farmers’ urbanization and the protection of their property rights and interests.In the process of urbanization, countries in the world have been more or less encountered the problem of land lost peasants, and the situation and solutions are not the same.Properly solve the problem of land lost farmers in the process of urbanization in China is conducive to better promote the process of urbanization, to social and economic sustainable and stable development and to promoting the construction of socialist harmonious society.The research of this paper is carried out from the following aspects:First of all, a comprehensive understanding of the subject of the study, to understand the existing research mainly analyze from the several aspects of the causes of land lost farmers, resettlement compensation, employment and social security mechanisms.Then, describe the relevant definitions and theories in detail.
