A Study On Supplier Quality Management For Equipment Manufacturer

Nowadays with economy globalization, enterprises concentrate more on specialized products and services. No any enterprise can manufacture all of the parts that needed, but in a way with many enterprises cooperating. In most circumstances, the enterprise does not give up its core technology, but would like to let other suppliers provides the parts that not very important, so, the suppliers product quality is very important due to they are not controlled by the enterprise. Sometimes the suppliers product quality can decide the final quality and cost of the enterprise.The purpose of supplier quality management is to ensure the parts provided by the supplier to meet the requirement of the specification, when nonconformity occurs, some action must to be taken. When the enterprise gets bigger and bigger, it need a set of system to ensure product quality, usually the enterprise uses TOTAL QUALITY CONTROL. Supplier quality management is a part of TQC. Now the most popular quality system is ISO:9001, which specify the resource managementealization of products and continuous improvement, also stipulates how to manage the suppliers. but it can only be regards as a guideline, it does not provides the detailed way and process to control the quality of suppliers.No matter how big the enterprise is, it has got its own suppliers, but the degree for different enterprise to rely on suppliers is quite different. When the suppliers product quality affects the enterprises product quality, the enterprise need to establish its procedure of supplier quality management.The supplier quality management is a very important element in the quality management, it need all parties to cooperates. ANDALIS is a very famous equipment provider in the world, its pulp machine lists top 3,and most of the parts is manufactured by the supplier, there are more than 1000 suppliers in China,and most of the parts are nonstandard. ANDALIS has got excellent quality management experiences, also got a lot of problems.
