Against this background, the rational development of the water bus is a great solution for waterfront city transportation construction. Water buses do not take the road resources, you can quickly travel along and across the river by water buses and it’s punctual fast and comfortable. It is an important complement to the public transport. But currently we lack the corresponding evaluation index and system for water bus operation.This paper describes the background and achievement of the current research and Guangzhou analyzes waterbus Current Management and passenger satisfaction. Then, propose evaluation significance and evaluation principles about its social benefit. The second section describes the evaluation of the social content of the water bus. On this basis, this paper combined with the characteristics of the water bus, build a more comprehensive water bus social indicators. The main aspects to be evaluated from the six, namely the promotion of economic development, promote social harmony and promote the formation of the transport network, and promote technological progress and environmental quality improvement, improvement in the quality of the urban landscape.
