China as the world’s largest population big country, has one billion four hundred million large population base, it itself has unlimited potential, forming a scale powerful textile and apparel consumer market. At the same time, our country is also a textile production country, is the global garment processing factory. China’s export trade of textile garment industry accounts for a quarter of the total amount of export trade in our country, China’s textile and apparel exports successive decades ranked first in the world,long one of the world’s textile and clothing export trade superpower status.But as a traditional labor-intensive industry of textile and garment industry in China, it’s easy to influenced by domestic and foreign economic situation and policy, in recent years, the appearance of many new problems seriously hindered the development of the industry. Textile and apparel industry, for example, rising labor costs, rising raw material costs, such as cotton prices, gradual appreciation of the yuan, the exchange rate to rise and southeast Asia and other regions, and the rise of emerging textile and apparel markets such as India, Indonesia and booming development, these are to some extent,sustained and healthy development of China’s textile and garment industry has brought the extremely disadvantageous influence, caused the relative decline in the total export textile and garment industry in our country, which makes China’s textile and garment industry the original comparative advantage in the competition gradually reduce, how to reverse this situation? To ensure the competitiveness of our country in the international market, this is the main content of this article research.Based on the theory of international trade and national competitive advantage,through the existing literature, collected some relevant data and econometric model is established, using the factor analysis to our country international trade competitiveness of textile garment industry has carried on the empirical research, the main use of statistical analysis software spss19.0, has chosen six related indicators data, namely: the trade competitiveness index, international market share, export contribution rate,revealed comparative advantage index, revealed the competitive advantage index and export growth advantage index comprehensive evaluation analysis. Finally come to the conclusion that China’s textile and clothing industry has stronger international competitiveness, but also has a certain degree of volatility to reduce the trend, through the analysis to find the influencing factors of China’s textile and clothing industry tradecompetitiveness and has carried on the detailed analysis, in the face of new situation,the new situation, adjust the industrial structure, China’s textile and apparel industry of industrial upgrading is imperative. Finally, this paper respectively from the government,industry and enterprise level on how to enhance the competitiveness of China’s textile and clothing industry trade their targeted countermeasures and Suggestions were put forward, the hope can give enterprise as well as the relevant departments to provide a certain reference value.
