The Study On International Competitiveness Of Shan Dong's Textile And Costume Industry

Shandong is a large textile and costume production and export province in China. Textile and costume industry is in dominant Status in the industrial production and export of Shandong. As the global textile and costume trade entered "post-quota era", Shandong's textile and costume industry has great development opportunity and also faces more extensive, complex, sharp competition. In the new environment, how to maintain and upgrade competitiveness of industry? It is not only relates to continuous, healthy and stable development of Shandong's economy, but also has an important impact on social stability and development of Shandong. The paper studies situation, the major factors, the countermeasure of international competitiveness in Shandong's textile and costume industry development. So it will have the practical and academic value.The paper draws on research results, bases on related theory and establishes quantitative and qualitative analysis framework. And from the two aspects, It analysis and evaluate Shandong's textile and costume industry. Based on current international competitiveness index and comparison, we can form intuitive and clear understanding.Qualitative analysis of this study firstly generalized many classical economics definitions of international competitiveness, and summarized the definitions international competitiveness. Subsequently, we analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the textile and costume industry of Shandong. The quantitative analysis of the study firstly use some common index system of international competitiveness of industry and a brief description of measurement methods as a starting point, and then index the relevant statistical data in recent years and use the statistical software SPSS to do factor analysis. Specific measurement and analysis process is that establishing international competitiveness evaluation index system and determinate individual indicators, and then do the factor analysisBy the above analysis, we found that Shandong's textile and costume industry still has strong international competitiveness. But in the condition of labor cost rising, this advantage gradually becomes shrinking. Especially as a result of competitive advantage based on export products and brand, we still have more gaps compared to international advanced level. Based on the existing problems, the study put forward suggestions on international competitiveness of Shandong's textile and costume industry. And prospect the current and future of Shandong's textile and costume industry.
