Xinjiang is the largest cotton production place, production accounted for about 60% of the whole country. At present, there are about 100 textile enterprises above designated size in xinjiang, and 10 clothing production and processing enterprises above designated size. The textile industry employees 200,000 people. Shihezi is an important cotton textile production place in the western China, the total annual production of high quality colored cotton 10,000 tons.
