Automobile Component Development Project Management Lean Improvement Research

In order to improve the original design capability and creativity of domestic automobile component companies, it’s necessary to start with new product development projects.China domestic automobile component companies are in an urgent need to apply new product development project management. However, current existing project management techniques and tools might not be perfectly adoptable. In another word, the most popular project management methodologies and tools need to be tailored for the specific conditions of China domestic automobile component companies.This paper will firstly analyze the problems that exist in current domestic automobile component industry and bring up the way of applying advanced project management techniques and skills in automobile component companies’base on systematic research and related industry information. Secondly, under the guidance of lean methodologies, this paper will introduce how to conduct continuous improvement for project management. Finally, this paper will take the real case of H Company and consider its organization structure, project specialty and existing project management problems to analyze how to develop effective project management methodologies and skills for continuous improvement.
