Research On The Synergetic Development Of Tourism And Modern Industry In Resource-based Cities

The resource-based cities are the kinds of cities whose leading industries are based on the mineral, forests and other natural resources, and industry is the pillar industry in these cities’ economic development. Non-renewable mineral resources restrict the sustainable development of industrial in these resource-based cities, and their sustainable development are facing severe challenges. In order to realize the sustainable development target of the resource-based city, we need to accelerate the transformation of its economic development mode, and change the industrial development pattern. In the industry transition procession, tourism becomes one of the important path of industry transformation of resource-based city as an emerging and strong-driving associative industry, tourism has became the representative industry of the third industry and modern industry became the respective industry of the the second industry,and it will have an important significance to study the synergetic development of the two industries.Fukang city is one of the 262 resource-base cities, with history of the development of modern industry, as well as with AAAAA level scenic spots Tianshan Tianchi, and in 2013, Xinjiang Tianshan(with Bogda in Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture,Bayinbuluke in Bayinguoleng Mongolia,Tuomuer peek in Aksu Prefecture region,Kalajun-Kuerdening in Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture etc.) have been successfully included in the World Natural Heritage List. Fukang City is facing industrial restructuring and sustainable development,Tourism industry needs upgrading, and modern industry needs transporting from high pollution, high coal energy consumption to cleaner types of green industry. It will have theoretical and practical significance for Fukang City to solve the problems in the industrial transformation through studying the synergetic development status of tourism and modern industry and the possible future development path with Ecological constraints.The thesis studied the pressure of ecological environment in Fukang City, and established the Tourism- Modern industrial synergetic degree model and the Grey correlation analysis model between indexes of each subsystems and composite system synergetic degree. The main conclusions:(1) From 2000 to 2013, the ecological environment pressure indexes in Fukang city are increasing.(2) The synergy degrees of Tourism-Modern industry of Fukang city are low.From2000 to 2013, the tourism-modern industrial synergy degrees of Fukang city are lower than 0.5.(3) The synergy degrees of Tourism-modern industrial-environment in Fukang city are small.From 2000 to 2013, synergy degrees of tourism-modern industrial-environment are small, show a fluctuation reduced trend.(4) The indexes of the tourism industry subsystem affected the synergy degrees of the tourism-modern industrial system more.(5) The indexes of the tourism subsystem had moderate effects to the synergetic system of tourism-modern industrial-environment.(6)To get the synergetic development of the tourism and the modern industry with the environmental constraints in the resource-based cities,the concept of synergetic development should integrate in the modern industrial and the tourism industry,and explore the integral development road of the two industrial.Emphasize the importation of the environment in the development of the modern industrial and the tourism,then develop the green modern industrial as well as the ecological tourism with the Eco-tourism and the Eco-modern industrial.
