Risk Management Under Software Testing Outsourcing

In a modern market environment, there is higher requirement for software product’s quality, costs, and release window. In order to cost control, efficiency improvement, and have better competitiveness of the company, software testing outsourcing, and implementation of risk management in software projects came into being. But in practice, often for a variety of reasons, it faces different practical difficulties to implement. So far, the research for risk management in software testing management, and software test outsourcing management are not put together to think about. How to combine their respective characteristics, test outsourcing practice in the implementation of risk management and get the results for more effectively cost control, testing efficiency improvement and quality assurance, is the first PRI issue to deal with for current test management team. It provides a certain space and meaningful to research and explore it. This paper studies mainly in the following below domain: test outsourcing and risk management practice.First, setup new ideas for how to do risk management under software test outsourcing based on the fundamentals of risk management theory. It also brings up the most common five types of risk in test outsourcing. Do more in-depth research and analysis base on it, and the setup the examples of risk management processes and suggestion.Secondly, based on how to do the risk monitor under the risk management theory & process, combined with the test outsourcing practices, implement measure method & risk monitor process into test outsourcing framework. Point out the keys points of the risk monitor process during the test process, and also design the templates for audience reference.The last but not the least, risk management theory and methods proposed for software testing outsourcing risk monitoring results and guiding principles.
