Nowadays,knowledge updates at a much faster pace in a knowledge-driven and highty complex enterprise that engages in different lines of business.This is typical when the enterprise is a high-tech multinational with leading R&D,production,and manufacturing strengths on the global scale,On the other hand,the requirements for acquiring and spreading knowledge continue to grow, Making knowledge management a major topic of the enterprise.To meet the needs of rapid development, An enterprise will have to get rid of extensive management and adopt a more refined approach,Such a transformation may introduce various issues, for example, A change of strategic direction, an organizational revamp,and a multitude of competence improvement programs,Our society is driven forward by scientific advancements that necessitate knowledge accumulation, In addtition,Knowledge creation and management have become the largest driving force for productivity. In this sense, Knowledge assets are the most essential and valuable property of an enterprise while good knowledge management is the cornerstone for the enterprise to sustain business excellence.This paper takes knowledge management theories as its basis and discusses through case studies new challenges facing H company,For example,potential decline of profitability,Drop of customer satisfaction,and loss of contracts. Based on the existing efforts of H company on building a knowledge management system, this paper thoroughly analyzes knowledge management complications encountered by H company in its development course,investigates the causes of these complications,and proposes from the organization building and management system change perspectives to build a unified knowledge management and sharing platform that facilitates communication between pre-eminent experts,research centers,and remote research branches,thereby boosting knowledge creation,application,and sharing for elevating enterprise image and competitiveness.
