Factors Analysis On Chinese Banks’ International Development

With the development of integration of the global economy, the Chinese economy has been integrated into the world economic system. With more and more domestic enterprises to go out and the internationalization of the RMB, the internationalization of Chinese banking industry has become an inevitable trend. Although Chinese banks to expand overseas has been a century, compared with the large banks in developed countries, the degree of internationalization of China’s banking industry is still relatively low, there are still many problems in overseas expansion process. Africa’s development is rapid in recent years, the need for financial sector has also increased, overall economic and financial environment is suitable for China’s banking industry to invest and establish branches. Under the appropriate investment environment in Africa, facing Chinese banks’development problems, this paper is based on the comparative advantage theory and industry competitive theory and carry on system research about the factors affecting China’s banking to expand in African market by using the method of questionnaire survey.Firstly, the paper analyzes the status of international development of Chinese banks, studying the history, characters and problems of international development of Chinese banking industry systematic. The paper summarizes HSBC’s international development experience and gets enlightenment of Chinese banks’international development. Then the paper Focuses on the factors affecting China’s banking to expand in African market, which by interviewing African students and teachers in Shandong province in the form of questionnaires. As a group of high knowledge level, African students and teachers in China know more about African banks. Therefore the results of the survey play an important role in analyzing factors on Chinese banks’ international development. Lastly, Categorize the data and combine with the related data about bank internationalization, then summarize that Chinese banks expanding African market have factors in four areas:Chinese banks itself, African countries, China and China-Africa relations. This conclusion provides a theoretical help for Chinese Banks to expand business in African market, and put forward effective suggestions in view of the development status of Chinese banks in Africa.
