With the rapid development of economy, there are potential opportunities for the development of the construction enterprise because of the expanding domestic demand and steady economic growth of China. However, due to the characteristics of itself and the influence of internal and external circumstance,construction enterprises are facing greater financial risk.The choke point of construction enterprises,which they are faced with right now, is how to take measures to guard against and defuse financial risks,make full use of the opportunities for development and strengthen themselves.On the basis of elaborating on the research background, purpose, status and development trends at home and abroad, this paper expounds the basic principles of financial risk in engineering projects.With the characteristics of objectivity, universality, variability, systematicness and duplicity, it can be divided into the financial risks in stage of engineering projects bidding, contract signing, construction of the projects,and completion and acceptance of the projects.The main content of financial risk management on the project includes identification,and assessment of financial risk,establishment of countermeasures to financial risk management, the implementation of financial risk management measures and the control of the implementation of financial risk management.Identification methods of project financial risk include recognition method towards financial statement, Delphi method, Scenarios analysis and index method.By evaluating the company’s profit, debt paying, operation, growth and cash acquisition abilities,index method can identify the potential financial risks of the company. Analysis method of financial risk mainly analyzes the uncertainty with specific ways of leverage and F model measures.On the basis of theoretical analysis, this paper takes Wanli International of Qingdao project for example and introduces the construction background and overview of the project as well as main body construction,electrical and plumbing installation of the project by taking research methods such as experiment research, case analysis,statistical analysis and so on.It analyzes geographical location,traffic conditions,property developer, construction party and organizations during construction of the project.Buiding on the introductions towards the project, it collects partial data of the project together and then analyzes financial analysis on the project’s profit, debt paying, operation and growth abilities as well as cash flow. This thesis analyzes financial risk performances of Wanli International of Qingdao in stage of engineering projects bidding, contract signin, construction of the project, and on its main body construction,electrical and plumbing installation.Combining financial analysis with finance risk performances,it measures the Wanli International of Qingdao by leverage and F model measures, and then makes a brief summary that lists some problems which enterprises shall pay attention to in selecting financial risk measures.On the basis of field survey and analysis, this thesis refers to literature research method on all kinds of books and documents,and obtains methods on various risk prevention and control and experience summarization.Therefore, it suggests that the Wanli International of Qingdao shall take precautions against financial risk by strengthening liquidity of asset, maintaining reasonable debet structure and scale as well as intensifying anti-risk mechanism based on the conditions of construction.And then it presents specific methods on controlling financial risk of the project and mentions management ways on financial risk of the building engineering company. At the end, it summarizes the whole paper and looks forward to the bright prospects of China’s construction industry.
