Research On Straw Disposal Of Yongcheng City

Straw is an important kind of biomass energy, which has great value of resource utilization. The effective utilization of straw, in some degree, can relieve the current situation in which the urgent need of energy. However, the phenomenon that straw is burned on site still exists at present, which not only wastes the quantity of resources, but also causes the economic, social and environmental problems correspondingly. Therefore, it is of practical significance to discuss the deep reasons of burning straw on site, in order to realize the resource utilization of straw.This paper analyzes the specific situation of wheat straw’ utilization in Yongcheng City by using the methods of both empirical analysis and theoretical analysis. The paper can be divided into seven parts. The first part mainly discusses the research background, research purpose and significance, research frame, literature review as well as the creation and shortcomings of the research. The second part discusses the related theory, mainly including supply and demand theory, Hypothesis of Economic Man, adverse selection and theory of moral hazard. The third part mainly discusses the current situation of straw utilization in Yongcheng city. The fourth part analyzes the peasant households’ willing of the straw disposal in Yongcheng city by means of logit model on the basis of survey data of sample farmers in Yongcheng city. The fifth part analyzes the cost and benefit of the straw disposal of the farmers. The sixth part analyzes the cost and benefit of straw disposal in enterprises on the basis of actual survey of the XX straw factory in Longgang town. The seventh part discusses the research conclusion and policy suggestions.The research indicates that the farmer still has a strong desire to burn the straw on site. But the major problem of straw utilization at present is disposability of straw. The most direct and effective way to solve the problem of burning straw on site at present is to smash the straw and return to the field. However, it is limited to return the straw to fields and it takes high cost for transportation and the intermediate link of straw utilization. All these factors restrict peasants’ enthusiasm of selling straw. Finally, the paper proposes appropriate policies and recommendations from the perspective of strengthening the capacity of government support, realizing the direct butt joint between the farmers and the enterprises, enhancing the technical research and creation and reinforcing the scientific propaganda.
