Analysis And Comparison In Choosing Logistics Distribution Model For E-Commerce

Logistics is the product of modern circulation, and the third source of profit.The rise of E-commerce has broken through the boundaries of time and space, expanded company’s sales territory, changed company’s traditional sales method and customer’s shopping habit, which boosts the development of logistics services, such as home delivery service, as the foundation of E-commerce development. Without the support of a modern logistics operating model and an efficient and rational logistics system, it will be difficult to fully leverage the advantages of E-commerce. In contrast, logistics technology level decides the logistics efficiency, while the support of E-commerce secures the application of modern logistics technology. Thus, it is important to have a clear idea on logistics distribution system under E-commerce and to find the most suitable way of development for enterprises.This article firstly reviewed the condition of domestic and international researches on E-commerce and logistics. Also, the current condition and existing problems of E-commerce logistics development of China are introduced. Furthermore, Author provides some of suggestions on the issue of existing problem.Secondly, this article introduced three main logistics models used by E-commerce enterprises, which are self-operating logistics, third party logistics and common delivery, and analyzed their features, advantages and disadvantages. Then, putting forward a point of this article- self-operating logistics will be the future of e-commerce activities, the best choice for enterprises.In the last, this article lists the two typical patterns using self- operating logistics E-commerce enterprises success stories, mainly introduced a logistics distribution and used SWOT analysis method and decision analysis method to further interpret JINGDONG’s logistics distribution model.It is hoped that the analysis and researches in this article could enlighten E-commerce enterprises in choosing logistics distribution model that suits them best.
