A Research On The Urban Agriculture Development In Yuelu District Of Changsha

For thousands of years, agriculture has been closely watched as the basis of human survival. With the continuous development of the times and the changing of science and technology, man’s knowledge of things constantly develops. Especially for Today’s fully meeting of the food and clothing problem, traditional agriculture competitiveness and vitality declines quietly. And it is adapted to the strategic task of the new rural construction with the development in our country. It is a kind of brand-new, multi-functional modern agricultural production mode to organize the agricultural production and operation activities by means of the advanced science and technology and sensitive information in the city.Urban agriculture, which is the age product of rapid development in urbanization and industrialization, rose firstly in Yangtze River delta and the Pearl River delta region of China. Recently the establishment and development of urban agriculture in Changsha city also enters to express with the acceleration of urbanization. As a "back garden" of Changsha city, Yuelu district has already begun to develop urban agriculture as early as in 2003. Considering Yuelu district as a whole, this article analyzes urban agriculture from the following three parts:first of all, it summarizes the advanced experience and define the concept, characteristics, function, and development model of urban agriculture based on the research status at home and abroad. Secondly, it conducts the SWOT analysis through the present situation of Yuelu district urban agriculture. And finally, This article studies the present situation of the urban agriculture development from America, Japan and Shanghai and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions on the bases of the existing problems, which includes innovating agricultural development mode, optimizing the agricultural area layout, innovating financing channels, speeding up the land circulation, implementing the strategy of science and education, speeding up the agricultural information construction.
