A Study Of The Impact Of Interregional Industrial Transfer On Urbanization

City is a center for human social activities and a constituent part of a country.Due to its effects of scale,agglomeration,radiation and etc,urban is a growth pole in the regional economy and an importa nt growth point in the country economy. Under the strategy of develop-the-west issued in 2000, interregional industry transfer becomes more and more important to cities and provinces in western region of China.Urbanization isn’t a closed process,but an open process with the joint action from society,economy and culture.The economy in western region of China lies below the average level of the whole C hina.Therefore, the western region of C hina should fully utilize the good opportunities brought by the strategy via various of ways,such as interregional industry transfer,to promote the urbanization.In the past,foreign investment was used to promote the economy.Similarly,nowadays interregional industry transfer is used to promote the urbanization.Capital,technology and management experience brought by interregional industry transfer can promote the industry,therefore the urbanization,in the local area.Eco- friendly industries are the priority to be interregional transferred,due to the requirement of the sustainable development.This paper analyzed the effect of the interregional industry transfer on the urbanization,taking the western region of China as an example.This paper contains five part. The first part introduces the background information and significance of the research,the concept and overview of the industrial transfer and urbanization,then the research framework and subject of this paper,finally summarized the innovations and inadequacies in this paper.The second part analyzes the mechanism of interregional industrial transfer acting on the urbanization to verify whether the interregional transfer of industry can promote urbanization directly or indirectly in a country or region from four aspects,including development of the economy,structure of the industry,agglomeration of the industry and inflow of the economic factor;then applies the theory to the western region of China.The third part analyzes the status of the interregional industry transfer in western region of C hina from the condition for transfer,scale of transfer and distribution.And then utilizes the method of entropy analysis in econometrics to evaluate the level of urbanization in western region of C hina from the year 1990-2012 based on the analysis in the previous sections.The forth part utilizes a time series model based on the analysis in the previous sections to analyze the effects of interregional industrial transfer on the urbanization in western region of China under the condition of fourth level urbanization.The last part proposes some suggested policies on how to effectively amplify the effects of interregional industrial transfer on the urbanization.
