| Since reform and opening up policies were adopted in1978, China’s economyhas achieved rapid development, ranked the world’s second largest economy status. However, in economy our country still exist many problems, such as increasinglytensing resources, the deteriorating environment, and uneven development of regionaleconomies. Undertaking industrial transfer has become a means to achieve industrialupgrading and regional economic growth in less developed regions, and has becomean important way to realize the harmonious development of regional economies inChina. In particular, there already have been the basic conditions for the industrialtransfer between regions in China, which is different level of economic developmentbetween regions. There are also many traditional industries in eastern region, and ourcountry is experiencing a new round of large-scale international industry that isinternational industry transfer to China mainland as well as coastal industrial transferto the coupling of the central and western regions. How the eastern area of matureindustries will transfer to the central and western regions becomes the key of successof the coupling transfer, which is an important way to narrow the gap of China’sregional economic development and to coordinate development of regionaleconomies.By the look of reality, there seem not to appear large-scale interregional industrialtransfer phenomenon. In eastern traditional industries of maturity or decline stage inlife cycle exhibit viscous characteristics on the original location, and as the theoreticalcircles as expected that lots of traditional industry in eastern region transfer to thecentral and western regions. Based on the above background and knowledge, thispaper analyzed and discussed causes of viscosity, factors of industrial transfer and theextent of influence of factors of industrial transfer in the transfer of manufacturingindustry as the research object, from which trying to find the answer. In the specific structural arrangements, this paper firstly introduced thedevelopment required to support research in the theory as the research foundation. And research in the field of industry transfer was reviewed and discussed in order tounderstand achievements and shortcomings of the current research in the field, bywhich the author tries to find the breakthrough point to carry out the research work. The author analyzed the trend and characteristics of current China’s interregionalindustrial transfer by through determining proportion changes of output value of themanufacturing industry in different years. Research showed that at the present stageChina’s regional industrial transfer as the relative transfer was the initial stage of industrial transfer, and phenomenon of interregional large-scale industrial transfer hadnot appeared yet. Then by using the grey clustering method, this paper analyzed thelevel and trend of viscous gradient transfer of different areas in China, shown that theoverall China’s regional industry transfer viscous levels tend to weaken but not beobvious. Based on the above conclusions, this paper tried to discuss the formationmechanism of viscosity of regional industry transfer, to explore various factors ofindustry transfer and carry on the positive research. Then through overcoming thesefactors to solve problem of viscosity of interregional industrial transfer would be topromote traditional industries in the eastern region transfer to the central and westernregions. In the process of empirical research, this paper established regression modelsrespectively from the internal elements and external elements system in order toempirical analysis of the impact of various factors on the transfer of themanufacturing sector. Empirical results showed that, in the internal factors humancapital and the sunk cost restricted industry transfer, effects of human capital onindustry transfer more than effects of the fixed capital and sunk cost, but the effect oflocation factors on the development of manufacturing industry was not significant. Inthe external elements, the scale of manufacturing employment, urbanization andtraffic density had negative effect on industrial transfer in different degree, theinfluence degree of the scale of manufacturing employment to industry transfer wasthe largest of them, followed by the level of urbanization and traffic density; whileforeign direct investment and trade openness had a certain degree of crowding-outeffect on development of manufacturing industry, the crowding-out effect of foreigndirect investment on the development of manufacturing industry is more evident, Inparticular, that the rate of cost-profit, dual contrast coefficient and the level of scienceand technology innovation showed not significant in the model, which was differentwith the theoretical expectations. Finally, according to conclusions of the empiricalstudy, this paper put forward to promote China’s interregional industrial transfer andundertake countermeasures, in order to provide policy ideas and policy reference forimproving China’s interregional industrial transfer situation... |
