With the social economy, science and technology rapidly developing, electronic commerce and tourism have become the most dynamic and promising industries against the backdrop of economic globalization. The continuous progress and perfect of information technology enhances the coupling between e-commerce and tourism industry, therefore brings about the emergence of tourism e-commerce. By using advanced IT technology, tourism e-commerce improves the internal and external connectivity of tourist agencies, which is the communication and trade between tourist agencies, agency and supplier, agency and tourist. Tourism e-commerce is the application of e-commerce in tourism industry, which can facilitate the optimization of enterprise’s internal procedure and the sharing of knowledge.Because of its abundant tourism resources, Sichuan province is known as the "Land of Abundance". So how to make full use of the tourist resources, and transform the tourism industry into a pillar industry has become a challenge as well as an opportunity for Sichuan province. Recently, with the widespread use and the achievements of e-commerce in tourism industry relevant departments of Sichuan province have been aware of the importance of tourism e-commerce, and spared no efforts to facilitate its growth in the aspects of policy and funding. However, tourism e-commerce in Sichuan is still faced with a lot of problems, such as website construction and online marketing.This thesis mainly discusses the background, significance, objectives and methods of tourism e-commerce in Sichuan. The main innovation is the comparison of choosing the famous scenic spots, which are representative internal and external Sichuan province. According to the unique natural ecosystems, historical and humanistic tourism resources, management mode and tourism revenues in Sichuan, it compares Emei Mountain, Jiuzhaigou, Langzhong Ancient City, Huanglongxi Ancient Town, which present the uniqueness of Sichuan tourism industry, to Mount Huangshan, Guilin, Lijiang Ancient City, Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, which are famous scenic spots outside the province. After that, it analyzes the features and modes of tourism e-commerce about the above “one mountain, one river, one city and one town”, which are inside and outside Sichuan province respectively. This thesis tries to find out the problems of tourism e-commerce in Sichuan province, learn from the experiences of those spots outside the province. The measures for the development of Sichuan tourism e-commerce are put forward to promote the adjustment of industrial structure, and the comprehensive development of tourism in Sichuan province.
