Analysis Of Yunnan Tea Export Competitiveness

Since ancient times, tea is one of the traditional industries in Yunnan Province, it is the pillar industry to promote the rapid development of the agricultural economy, it is an important industry for mountain farmers to become prosperous. Since joining the WTO, exports of Yunnan tea industry has made rapid development, but since2005, the output growth of Yunnan tea industry is declining and industrial output growth is also declining, with the technical barriers to importing countries, especially in tea increasingly stringent quality testing standards, coupled with the impact of exchange rate fluctuations,fluctuations in market demand and a series of uncertain factors, Yunnan tea industry exports drastic decline for many years, economic development of tea industry has been stagnant, how to solve the problem is particularly important. In order to increase the export competitiveness of the tea industry in Yunnan Province,we have to find the factors that affecting the export competitiveness of Yunnan tea industry, develop a strategy suitable for export development of Yunnan tea industry.This paper introduces the export competitiveness of the tea industry theoretical basis, in addition to the relationship between international competitiveness and export competitiveness, external source of export competitiveness, factors related to the export competitiveness of the tea industry research and export competitiveness, but also systematically reviews the evaluation method of export competitiveness. In summary and analysis of the domestic and foreign scholars in Yunnan tea industry export competitiveness and the basic meaning of export competitiveness, this paper start from the history and current development of Yunnan tea industry and tea industry exports departure, it describes the situation of Yunnan tea industry exports from export scale, export structure, the export distribution of three, then based on on the theory constructed export competitiveness evaluation index system, the export competitiveness of the tea industry in Yunnan Province was measured to clarify the position and strength of the Yunnan tea in the international market competition, then the important factors affecting the export competitiveness of the tea industry in Yunnan Province were analyzed based on Porter’s "Diamond Model". From the analysis, the current Yunnan tea industry in the international market have a certain comparative advantage, but there is a gap when compared with our other tea exporting province.Through the analysis of various factors, for the Yunnan tea industry development status, this paper presents the development in the future should be the implementation of green marketing, establish and improve the system of quality standards for tea; improve quality and establish a good brand image; strengthen the guidance and management of tea export business; adjust the export structure of tea, increase the proportion of tea in four areas.
