As a big tea producing province, the tea industry of Fujian has already had a certain scale of tea production. Its production yield and acreage have been ranked on the top of the list in China. However, in the global market, the problem of inefficient export competitiveness of tea from Fujian has come up since a long time ago. In this case, how to improve the export competitiveness of Fujian’s Tea Industry, which has been one of the most important issues for Fujian to further develop its Tea Industry and then to increase its tea’s export trade and net profit. Additionally, as a research for whether the Tea Industry’s export competitiveness is in advantage or disadvantage, it is also a basis for putting up with some policies and solutions with reasonable and targeted effects.In this thesis, the object of this research is the export competitiveness of Fujian’s Tea Industry. There are two theories as analyzing tools of comparative advantage and competitive advantage, which concludes that competitive advantage theory is the development and creation of comparative advantage. With the combination of these two theories to analyze the export competitiveness of Fujian’s Tea Industry, it is essential for the results with better comprehensiveness and less one-sidedness. On the indicators, it makes use of three indicators of export competitiveness, which are Revealed Comparative Advantage, International Market-Possessing Rates and Trade Specialization Coefficient. After calculating the values of these three indicators and comparing the values of Fujian’s with other big tea producers, export competitiveness of Fujian’s Tea Industry is still staying in the low level. Besides, the usage of "Smile Curve" to evaluate the additional values of Fujian’s Tea Industry, which points out that Fujian’s Tea Industry still have a big space to expand itself. At last part, the "diamond model" of Michael. Porter’s is used to analyze the effects of the export competitiveness of Fujian’s Tea Industry, and the come up with some corresponding countermeasures according to these effective aspects.
