A Study On The Economical And Intensive Land Use Of Taiyuan

In recent years, Taiyuan, as the capital city of Shanxi province and the leader ofrestructuring development, has been catching the major opportunity of transformationand comprehensive reform to explore boldly and to achieve rapid development.However, with the rapid development of economic and urbanization in Taiyuan, thecontradiction between supply and demand of land resources has become an obstacle toeconomic development, urbanization and improvement of people’s living standards.Under the rigid constraints of land resources, mining the potential of land legitimatelyas far as possible and achieving economical and intensive utilization of land becomeimportant ways to ease the contradiction between land supply and demand and promotesound and rapid economic development of the city. Therefore, this paper uses themethod of theoretical analysis and empirical research combining to study theeconomical and intensive land utilization of Taiyuan.First, the article summarizes the forefront and the methods of research about theeconomical and intensive land use and collate the relevant theoretical of thedevelopment and utilization of land by the methods of literature review and comparativeresearch to laid a theoretical foundation for the evaluation of the level of the economicaland intensive land use of Taiyuan. Secondly, we establish the evaluation model toevaluate the level of the economical and intensive land use by combining with thespecific circumstances of Taiyuan. Evaluation indexes are selected by considering theland use of economic benefits, social benefits, ecological benefits and the status of landuse. The article introduces the artificial neural network model with dynamic learningand exercise capacity instead of using the traditional weight calculation method in orderto avoid the adverse effects caused by human factors. Thereby it makes the indexweights affecting the level of the economical and intensive land utilization of Taiyuanmore objective. After that, the article get the levels of the six regions in Taiyuan byusing the established evaluation model, and analyze the evaluation results from twoperspectives of time and space. Lastly, the article analyzes the main reasons why theevaluation results shows differences in time and space from multiple perspectives. Andgives all-round measures and suggestions to increase the level of the economical andintensive land utilization of Taiyuan.
