Performance management is the important part of humanresource management. Strong performance management is helpful forcommercial banks to improve performance, perfect constraint mechanism andrealize strategic objectives. Performance management is a comprehensive toolthat can transform the talent and incentive of human capital into strategicadvantage. From a strategic point of view, performance management hasbecome the inevitable choice for commercial banks to cultivate corecompetitiveness.With management innovation, A bank Taiyuan branch hasintroduced KPI into performance management and made certain achievements,but it still exists some problems, such as being biased against the recognition ofperformance management, the design of performance evaluation index is notreasonable, the purpose of performance appraisal is not accurate, performanceappraisal feedback mechanism perform practically no function, performanceevaluation results are compared incorrectly. Therefore, the research aims tostudy the application of BSC in the performance management of A bankTaiyuan branch. Through the application of BSC, the thesis desires to enhanceits performance management level, to consolidate its comprehensive strength.Firstly, based on the specific practice of A bank Taiyuan branch inperformance management, by the comprehensive use of basic theory ofperformance management, interviews and questionnaire, analyze the distinctproblems of performance management that exists in A bank Taiyuan branch.Secondly, under the analysis of feasibility, advantages and problems of theapplication of BSC in A bank Taiyuan branch, focus on the design of BSCperformance management system of A bank Taiyuan branch. The constructionof the system starts with the strategy map; adopting induction and reasoning method to screen BSC performance index; apply AHP software to design theindex weight; and from the performance planning, monitoring, feedback, theresults of the application to improve performance management. Finally thearticle puts forward four measures to ensure the smooth implementation of theBSC performance management system, they are strengthening system building,corporate culture construction, technology and organization four aspects of, toensure the smooth implementation of the balanced scorecard in A bank Taiyuanbranch.
