Ancient villages embodies the essence of regional culture for thousands of years, have both characteristics of material and non-material cultural heritage. The authentic and integral folk culture lives and evokes the memory of people’s nostalgia. The folk culture of ancient village becomes the focus of current tourism market. Meanwhile, its preservation and development also become hot issues in the academic circle.Take Yangwan Ancient Village in Suzhou as a case, this study conducts an empirical research and probes the development mode complying with its folk tourism development planning,to provide development ideas and practical guidance.The concern of this study, in the principle of respecting reality and history, is preservative development of tourism resources which expanding from 3 theoretical dimensions: folklore, tourism science and planning science. First of all, from the perspective of folklore combined with detailed field investigation, crystallize the folk culture’s connotation and characteristic of the Yangwan Ancient Village by classified combing. Secondly, assess the folk culture of Yangwan Ancient Village from tourism science’s perspective to select folk culture- folk cultural resources- folk tourism resources by degrees, and divide folk cultural resources into 5 types, including life experiencing, value assessment, leisure sightseeing, participating entertainment and free through the model direction assessment method. Finally, this study analyzes basic requirements of the folk tourism and Yangwan Ancient Village’s reality. At the same time, it puts forward the basic framework of Yangwan Ancient Village’s folk tourism development planning based on the tourism planning dimensions. According to planning principles and development thoughts, this study probes four forms of folk tourism’s differentiated demands in the tourism development planning and discuss its planning contents, principles, patterns to guide Yangwan Ancient Village’s folk tourism development as well as comprehensive planning and key projects arrangement. |
