The folk culture tourism resources are abundance in Mianyang, which enjoys its innate advantages to develop folk culture tourism. However, the resource advantages haven't transferred to the industrial advantages. The major reason is that some folk culture tourism resources with local features lack the reasonable development and utilization. How to fully excavate the rich folk culture tourism resources of Mianyang and make it to be the attractive tourist product, which is deserved the study and discussion.Guided by the theories of Folklore,Culturology,Public Folklore,Tourism Planning, the paper will study the development of folk culture tourism in Mianyang. Centering the theme of the development of folk culture tourism in Mianyang, the paper will take the development of Qihan folk culture tourism attractions as an example and analyze its status quo,problems and constraints with theory and practice. Accordingly, it will propose the corresponding development strategies.Based on above point views, the paper is composed of 5 parts as follows:Part one includes the research reasons,significance and overview at home and abroad.Part two is the analysis of the relationship between the folklore and folk culture, folk culture and tourism. Then ,it mainly definite related concepts,types,features and compositions.Part three is the general situation of study area, which including the location condition,the typical folk culture tourism resources and its features. Part four is the existing condition analysis and development Strategies of folk culture tourism resources in Mianyang.Part five is the study on the development of Qihan folk culture tourism attractions using the related theories of public folklore.Part six is the conclusion.
