Analysis On Operating Efficiency Of Tea Producers In Jiangxi Province

Jiangxi province tea garden area continuously increased because of the strongly support of the governments, the total output of tea have rapidly increased; Jiangxi province tea production is given priority to with green tea, the annual average growth rate of green tea production is higher than that of red tea.This paper based on survey data of the tea production in 2013 though using the DEA model,the analysis showed that : Jiangxi total technical efficiency of tea is low, low pure technical efficiency is mainly cause that led to low technical efficiency; The highest operating efficiency is the tea enterprises among the three kinds of tea production, followed by tea professional cooperatives, the operating efficiency of farmers is the lowest; the average scale efficiency of three kinds of main tea production is higher than 0.6, in the hand of technical efficiency and pure technical efficiency, only the efficiency of tea enterprises more than 0.5. In the hand of internal efficiency differences among the main tea production, the internal differences of tea professional cooperatives is the minimum, followed by tea enterprises,the farmers’ internal differences of operating efficiency is the largest;From the perspective of scale efficiency, the 74.6% tea enterprises and 76.7% of the tea professional cooperatives are in the stage of increasing returns to scale. Tea professional cooperatives’ scale is generally small, the processing ability is poor, weak market competitiveness, more important is that the person’s cultural level are not high who are in charge of cooperatives, and lack of business management experience, therefore, the gap of the resource utilization efficiency and management level of is smaller; In a sense of the tea total output, the tea enterprises were significantly greater than the difference of tea professional cooperatives, it shows that the internal differences is bigger among the tea enterprises, it also leads to the differences in various tea enterprise resource allocation and management level.To improve Jiangxi province tea industry competitive power, government departments should increase efforts to support the development of tea industry, encourage all the type of the tea production to large-scale professional cultivation, standardized production and management, enhance the support of science and technology, improve the processing capacity of the tea industry and tea quality, expand marketing channels and brand awareness.
