Study Based On The Dea Method Of Jiangxi Land Using Efficiency

As rapid economic development and accelerated urbanization process arising in China,demand of the land use is growing fast,Land as a scarce resource, efficiency of land use has caused wide concern.This paper reviews the related progress of land use and the efficiency of land-use, introduces the method of data envelopment analysis theory,and elaborates on the economic implications of DEA efficient.Efficiency of land-use is affected by the various elements. The study is carried out on the land-use analysis of Jiangxi Province mainly from the perspective of economic efficiency of land-use. And by using data envelopment analysis method it has made an empirical research on land input-output efficiency of 91 administrative units in Jiangxi Province. Then an evaluation study about the overall efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of construction land and agricultural land has been also carried out. Meanwhile the paper has made an associated analysis about the Land-use efficiency and economic level, land area, productivity.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The land resources in Jiangxi Province has an obvious regionality. Farmland is mainly distributed concentrically in the central plain of Poyang Lake area, the valley and basin water of the middle and lower reaches of five river system such as Gan River, Fu River, Xinjiang River, Rao River and Xiu River; Construction land is mainly located along the Zhejiang-Jiangxi Railway and Beijing-Kowloon Railway)。(2)The efficiency of construction land-use in general is not high, which only 14 counties'construction land-use efficiency are DEA effective such as Nanchang, Jingdezhen and so on. Compared with construction land, the efficiency of agricultural land-use is relative higher.18 counties'agricultural land-use efficiency are DEA effective including Nanchang, Jingdezhen. For return to scale of construction land-use,15 counties are constant return to scale ,59 counties are decreasing return to scale,17 counties are increasing return to scale; While for agricultural land-use,19 counties are constant return to scale, 55 counties are decreasing return to scale,17 counties are increasing return to scale.(3)The relative efficiency of land-use in Jiangxi Province are distributed in space with certain regularity. For construction relative efficiency, DUM which are DEA effective are mainly distributed in northern Jiangxi, multi-located in Jiangxi surrounding areas. While for agricultural land use efficiency in Jiangxi, DUM which are DEA effective are distributed evenly, and the regional difference is just a little.(4)Efficiency of land-use and land area is significantly negatively correlated, especially for construction land. There is no necessary correlation between land-use efficiency and regional economic level; However, land-use efficiency and land productivity has a very high correlation.
