Good selection area counties leading industries of the economy to achieve economic restructuring and improving people’s living standards, has very important significance.This article is a study in this context, to our county economy leading industry selection for the study, according to the basic theory of regional economics, industrial economics, development economics, first outlined the theory of leading industry at home and abroad, especially selection of County economic theory of the case.Secondly, the first through the literature study found a number of factors that affect the county economy leading industry choice. After using factor analysis on institutional factors were studied. Found: County Economic Factors Influencing Choice of Leading Industry structure includes three aspects:"the basic situation of the industrial", "industry effect" and "industrial advantage," and the basic situation of the industry as the most important ingredient. "The basic situation industries" include:development scale industries, industrial economic, industrial development prospects, industry talent bank of four factors. "Industrial advantage" includes:technical progress advantage, location of comparative advantage, the advantage of market demand, profitability advantage of a total three factors. "Industry effect" include: industry association effects, environmental effects, effects of social development, a total of three factors. Among them:the scale of industrial development, industrial economic efficiency, technological progress advantages, market demand advantage, the effect of social development, a total of five factors are the most important factors to consider. They were used to compare interest rates, labor productivity, income elasticity of demand, employment absorption rate of these economic indicators to quantify.Then, using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), combining theory and practice, on the Jiaoqu county of Changzhi City leading industries selected for in-depth analysis. Been recommended to choose the processing of agricultural products, modern metallurgy, leisure and tourism industry as the leading industry conclusions.
