| County-territory takes up a high percentage in the whole country, such as area population, production value. Therefore, studying on the county-territory economy plays an important role in the national economy development. Meanwhile, the development of county-territory economy is beneficial to solve the problem of urban-rural dual structure in China, and building a new socialist countryside.This article was guided by the related theory of regional development and industrial economy, and based on SWOT analytical method. Then, methods of system analysis and comparative analysis were used to analyse the strength and weak, opportunity and threat in Pingtan. Then, normative analysis was made about choosing the leading industry, which should take full advantage of the location-closed to Taiwan, and policy of Western Taiwan Straits Economic Zone. And Pingtan should actively take over the transfer of competitive industries of Taiwan. Meanwhile, there are a lot of shortage in developing Pingtan’s traditional fishery and tourist industry. Under this situation, these two traditional industries in Pingtan should be integrated to hunt for a modern development path which is full of regional features of Pingtan-leisure fishery. |
