Since2000,the global civil aviation industry was in a depression because of economic downturn. Meanwhile, the low cost carriers find a golden opportunity for blossom. In the past ten years, low cost carrier operation was the hot spot of globe aviation market.As the success of low cost carriers in western area, there’s more and more followers into the market. After2002,a number of low cost carriers proved this model also worked out in Asia area.In2004, Spring Airlines first appeared as low-cost in China. After that, we began to explore and construct the best way for our airline companies. In May,2013, W Airline was the second low-cost airline company after the announcement was made about the transformation. The foundation was built firmly with the help of the development of low-cost transformation. This article will analyze the strategy, which W Airline has been working on. Firstly, a brief introduction will be given about the background and recent status of the global low-cost industry. The brilliant strategies, which W Air used, will be stated from the perspectives of macro environment, industrial competition and self competitiveness. Finally, the proposal will be elaborated toward the strategic measures. Certain suggestions will be proposed to the development of W Airline.
