In the circumstances of enormous market demand and the temptation of non-ferrous metal prices climbing in the past years, a new wave round of non-ferrous metal production capacity expansion was happened. The myth of the ten years' bull market of the non-ferrous metal merchandise was shattered by the evolution of the financial storm. the bear market atmosphere of non-ferrous metals was over the entire market. Both the lun zinc and shanghai zinc were deeply down from the record high rate, lun zinc fell from 4580 points to the current around 1100 with a decrease of 75% deep down; Shanghai zinc fell from 29,700 points to the current less than ten thousand points; the current main zinc901 fell contract to 8620 points with the decrease of more than 70%.Since the sub-loan crisis happened, the exposed problem of the economic and financial have continuously grown, sub-loan crisis has already evolved into the global financial crisis and has affected the real economy, and even caused incalculable losses to the company or country business, some companies and countries have already bankruptcy or at the brink of bankruptcy, in the face of this economic environment, competition among enterprises will become more intense. Chinese zinc industry will therefore face the double threat from the international and domestic.How to shape the HD colored company's own core competitiveness has become a very urgent problem.This paper first introduces purpose, significance, methods, basic ideas of the problem, according to the strategic of enterprise competitiveness, low-cost strategy, value chain management theory, and then analyzes the HD's external environment, internal conditions and cost.Then it focuses on the international and domestic industry situation and the status of non-ferrous metals, investigates HD's non-ferrous production technologies, products, human resources and cost structure, and then analyzes its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Above on the basis analysis of HD company, it introduces a low-cost strategy, objectives, principles, objective basis for determining the HD and then the company way to achieve low-cost strategy. They are the establishment of suitable low-cost implementation of the strategy of Culture, and optimize the procurement process, reducing purchasing costs, improve skills, reduce the zinc smelting process to improve cost management, lower management costs and achieve economies of scale, and the implementation of equity diversified, resulting in oversight mechanism. Finally, the text summary, and describes the innovations, limitations and further research.The specific thesis research effectively, to formulate strategies for analysis of other enterprises must have reference value.
