In the21st century, the rapid development of economy and society making the material conditions of people has been greatly enriched and satisfied. From the prospective of our country, urban and rural people’s living standards has undergone great changes, from lack of adequate food and clothing to moderate prosperity. As the quality of life is increasing day by day, more and more is also high to the requirement of food. However, in recent years, frequent exposure of various food safety incidents, which highlight the growing food security problems, not only directly relate to the health of consumers, but also to the huge economic burden on society.In all kinds of food safety incident, the core issue in the information asymmetry between market participants, which include manufactures, suppliers, consumers and government departments. To solve the problem of the quality and safety of agricultural products, agricultural products quality certification is the key. The effective and acceptable to all parties quality and safety certification can ensure the timely, accurate and intuitive transmission of agricultural information among various market participants, which is important to improve the quality of agricultural products.This study begins on the theories and concepts related to quality and safety agricultural products certification, and focuses on the asymmetry information research reflected in the agricultural supply chain. This is a case, which can give suggestions to improve the quality and safety of agricultural certification and have some reference to quality and safety of agricultural products related units.
