Establish And Implement Of Design And Development Control Model

Product quality has become a hot topic to be discussed in recent years. A lot of company consider that they could reduce the non-conformities and improve the customer satisfactions by increasing the standards of inspection and improving the capability of quality control in the plant. Actually, these two means are not the main method for improving product quality and reduce the customer returns. Most product recalls come from design problems; these problems normally cannot be effectively reduced or avoided during production process. These design problems have already been existed in the design phase, so the effective quality control of design and development process is one of the most important methods to improve customer satisfaction and reduce design issues.The quality of design and development is realized by the design and development control process. However, the mainstream process control model, including the design and development process control model have their own flaws and strengths. This paper using the comparing method to analyze two typical mainstream models, ISO9000and CMM1. Base on the analyzing result, it propose the principles and procedures to establish a new design and development process model. Then, a new process control model, called RDMP are created according to these principles and procedures. This RDMP model is applied on B project belong to SP Company. The customer return data is collected after the product launch to the marketing, The purpose is to verify the effective of the RDMP Model.
