Complex Products and Systems (CoPS) is a high technical content, participates in numerous, a long production cycle, height of user intervention, single or small batch of large products, systems or infrastructures (Miller&Hobday,1995).With the high speeding up of economic globalization and integration rate, Complex Products and Systems have become a key factor to promote Chinese industrial technology upgrade, enhance national core competitiveness. But the collapse accident of hangzhou subway,723wenzhou high-speed accident and a series of such other major accidents as we see become an endless.It makes people realize that we should pay due attention to a series of problems which Complex Products and Systems innovation causes in our country.And systems integrators play an important role on the efficiency of Complex Product and Systems’ innovation and industry upgrading, their ability directly affect the output of innovation. Although Complex Products and Systems innovation in our country develops rapidly, but there is a big gap between developed countries and our country. What’s more, due to the weak innovation ability, lacking of the value chain control, our Complex Products and Systems are in the low-end of the global industrial chain.Therefore, we think that how to improve the Complex Products and Systems’ control and systems’ integrators is a significant thing. It has attracted attentions from more and more scholars.At present most scholars who study Complex Products and Systems innovation also stay in a static perspective, we found that there are some following problems unresolved.First, different from traditional large products, Complex Products and Systems innovation’s control capability has its remarkable characteristics,so how to extract Complex Products innovation from the existing theory becomes a problem to be solved. Second,Complex Products and Systems innovation is a complex dynamic process, systems integrators in the innovation process are the managers, coordinators and controllers.They play a dominant role in innovation, therefore, how to carefully describe innovation from the Angle of dynamic evolution process, to explore the internal mechanism of control, is worthy of in-depth analysis;Third, because of the complexity of Complex Products and Systems, phased, subjectivity,and need to pay more attention to the control capability problems in collaborative innovation, at the same time to display from the organization of the nonlinear, dynamic and open characteristics, and the urgent need to explore innovative features and the evolution of innovation model, in order to reveal the inner mechanism of the control capability.According to above problems, based on Complex Products and Systems integrators as the research object, through theoretical and case study on the research of its control capability, in-depth excavation of the main control building dimensions, and on the basis of the theory of evolution analysis control before and after the variable, so as to unravel the mystery of the internal control mechanism.Last at the end of this paper,studying the validation and analysis of the case study of evolution, we get the following conclusions:First, Complex Products and Systems innovation is a process of dynamic evolution, it contains the characteristics of innovation network, control capability and innovation patterns evolved together.Second, Complex Products and Systems integrators’ main control is based on the core technology control and relationship between resources and action control, it should survive in the characteristic of innovation network in this paper, with the relationship between strength and network centricity, we found that innovation network characteristics and control capability are the positive relationship.Third, based on the cross-case-analysis, we found that there is a positive correlation in the control relationship between control force and incremental innovation, a negative correlation with the exploratory innovation,positively related to the incremental innovation, core technology control is negatively related to the exploratory innovation.
