Scholars have found that transformational leadership and paternalistic leadership in ourorganization are widespread from their study. But so far, the study about the both leadershipstyle effectiveness did not reach the same conclusion. Since previous studies on these twokinds of leadership style focused on senior leadership,the leadership style of grassrootsleaders has also a greater impact for the attitude and behavior of the majority front-line staff,so the frontline staff as to be the main target of subjects in this study, research the effect forthe grassroots leadership style on job satisfaction, organizational commitment-the two kindsof employee attitude.Under the principles of convenience and snowball sampling, this study obtained therequired data through questionnaire method. First, using Cronbach consistency factor analysisand confirmatory factor analysis tested the reliability and validity of various scales; Thencorrelation analysis were used to explore the relationships between the transformationalleadership, paternalistic leadership and job satisfaction, organizational commitmentrespectively; finally by the method of hierarchical regression analysis, comparedtransformational leadership and paternalistic leadership the affect of similarities anddifferences to employee job satisfaction and organizational commitment.The result shows that all the selected scales have good reliability and validity, and verysuitable for this study.There is a significant correlation between all dimensions oftransformational leadership, the two dimensions-benevolent leadership, moral leadership-ofpaternalistic leadership and job satisfaction, organizational commitment. But there is nosignificant correlation between authoritarian leadership of paternalistic leadership and jobsatisfaction, organizational commitment.
