Tourism industry in China is developing rapidly at an unprecedented rate, its proportion in modern society industry is increasing, its role in the national economy is demonstrating continuously, so it is called "Gold Industry". Tourism souvenirs income is an important component of tourism economic income, the continuous development of tourism souvenirs has an important role in promoting the development of tourism economy and improving the national income. Qingdao is a young coastal city, although its history is not long, yet its explosive vitality is gradually emerging during the economic development. With the introduction of feature tourism in Qingdao, this young city has more and more reputations, accompanying with various Tourism Culture Festival and tourism projects developing in a large-scale, Qingdao appears a booming situation, however, compare with tourism development,the development of tourism souvenirs is lagging, discordant factors such as lacking of management, tourism souvenirs market confusion, lacking of uniformity, lacking of market-led, lacking of product features partly affect the image of the East Charm City, so rectifying and building Qingdao tourism souvenirs market will play a significant role in constructing Qingdao’s tourism.In the first part, the article expounds the theory of tourism souvenirs, basically discusses tourism souvenirs’concept, characteristics, classification and other basic concepts, all these efforts pave the way for the later writing.Combining the geographical features and tourism development’s characteristics of Qingdao, the second part carefully discusses the problems of the current tourist souvenirs in Qingdao, and does a deep research about tourism souvenirs’ design, shopping place and the environment, all these efforts which gets the first-hand information makes the basic work for the later tourist souvenirs development strategy done.The third part summarizes the successful cases in domestic and foreign nations about how to develop tourist souvenirs, explores and concludes experiences.In the forth part, according to Qingdao’s local conditions, from tourist souvenirs’ various segments such as designing, circulating, marketing, management, this article thoroughly discusses the future development road of Qingdao’s tourist souvenirs.
