Nowadays, with the highly development of mobile internet, the sales of mobile device have grown rapidly. Due to this, instead of the traditional service model, the global carriers’stores have gradually started to focus on the device sales. But during the transformation, the stores of carriers have suffered the problem of device such as the lack of hot device, poor control of the device distribution, slow speed of device distribution, which are due to the disorder of distribution system. Whether the distribution center location is professional or not is of importance.Aiming at the current situation and the existed problems, this paper will optimized design and research for the location of DC of carriers based on the Baumol-Wolfe model combining with the Witness simulation model to search for the optimal siting plan.First of all, this paper will summarize the research status in order to refine research perspective and methods of this paper.Furthermore, this paper will build the Baumol-Wolfe model based on the total distribution cost. Primarily select the alternative DC location through the iteration based on the number of devices.What’s more, this paper will build the Witness simulation model; dynamically show the cost of each DC through a period time of running.Last but not least, this paper will combine with the optimizer module of Witness to optimize the simulation model in order to decide the final distribution center location plan.
