Main products are CAT engineering machinery accessories and DANA farm machinery chassis type castings. High-mix and low volume products lead the high frequency of exchange; moreover, the long logistic line and large handling increase the labor intensity. Besides, each machine involves many products, each product and each process has different machining time with the labor-abundant, which will waste the human resources. Under the above issues, company decides optimize M line production process to improve the production line production efficiency and implement lean production.First of all, consult the related literature and data, regard N company M production line production process as the research object, made the current value stream map through real-time and on-site research of M line casting workshop. Data collection and analysis, such as customer demand information, distribution of main machines and production line personnel, on-site logistics, production line lay-out, production line inventory and product quality, to prepare work improvement.Secondly, make M line future value stream map via analyze optimization of product flow and under lean thinking. Optimize future value stream map through optimization of production process, balance workloads, improvement of logistics line, adoption of cell production and Kanban management.And lastly, through analyzing of value stream and implement of M line production process optimization, to reduce the labor intensity, to improve production efficiency, to gather experience for the high-efficiency operation of the company production process. After the improvement plan implemented, compare and analyze the improvement effects.
