A Comparative Study Of Technological Advancement Of Software And Outsourcing Service Industry Between China And India

The rapid development of global economy boosts the spreading of services trade around the world. The software and outsourcing service industry is not only the new engine of the service trade since the1990s, but also the key approach to ration the world resources well and promote the competitiveness of the enterprises. The increasing development of the software and outsourcing service industry provides a new method of cooperation between the developed and developing world. For example, India has successfully seized the opportunity and prompted the software and outsourcing service industry in the past20years, creating the new engine of national economy based on the brains rather than the muscle of the labor. China intends to change the economic development mode as well by supporting the development of software and outsourcing service industry, and seize its own share in the spreading of global service trade. This thesis makes a comparative analysis of the current situation as well as the spiral technological advancement mode of Chinese software and outsourcing service industry and that of India, pointing out that the Chinese software and outsourcing service industry is mainly in the transition period of "efficiency promoting" to "process improving", and only several leading enterprises have entered the period of "process transformation", but in India most of the enterprises are in the period of "process improving", and some have entered the period of "process transformation". The thesis also makes a comparative analysis of the specific factors that affect the technological advancement of the software and outsourcing service industry between China and India, and obtain the Chinese comparative edges and weakness so as to promote the technological level of Chinese software and outsourcing service industry and boost the sound and fast national economy.
