Research On Comparison Of China And India's Software Industry Outsourcing Export

Software industry is considered to be the key part of the Information Economy. The competition of the software industry has been the essential part of the international competition between different countries. While, software outsourcing has been one of the most important methods of transnational corporations to increase core competence, which also offers great opportunities for recipient countries. China and India, both developing countries, have gotten different results in the software industry outsourcing export field: in 2005, India has occupied more than half of the software industry international outsourcing market. While, China just occupies less than 5% of international outsourcing market. How to make China's software industry outsourcing export grow better has become a research full of practical significances.Following "make comparisons - find reasons- put forward suggestions" path, the dissertation adopts qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis methods to carry out the research. The dissertation begins with the analysis of the motivation of software industry international outsourcing. On the basis of describing history and different characteristics of China and India's software industry outsourcing export, the dissertation not only compares the quantity of two countries, but also attaches more importance to comparing two countries' different performances on the technology spillover and economy accelerating effects. The metrology results show that the technology spillover and economy accelerating effects of India software outsourcing export are greater than China's. Then, on the basis of comparative advantage and competitive advantage theory, the dissertation compares the comparative and competitive advantage of two countries' software industry outsourcing export, aiming to find the reason to the two countries' all different performances on the software industry outsourcing export field. Finally, the dissertation puts forward some suggestions to accelerate the development of China's software industry outsourcing export.
