Since the21st century, the state has been actively pushing forward the construction ofthe rural social security. However, rural social security system is still relying on familysecurity, land security and state relief and it is a low level of security with smallgovernment support, the low degree of socialization, narrow coverage, and many otherproblems. To establish rural social security system in the modern sense, not only needcountry that supply main body, but also need the active involvement of collective villageand villagers on the basis of village-level wealth accumulation. The purpose of this study isto explore the relationship between village-level wealth accumulation and rural socialsecurity and how the village-level wealth accumulation functions to rural social securityunder the existing conditions in China.Based on the questionnaires, in-depth interviews and literature analysis, we hascarried on the extensive investigation about the supply and demand situation of rural socialsecurity and the empirical analysis of the main factors that influence the supply anddemand of rural social security. It is concluded that the rural economic level is thefoundation of the farmers’ participation in social security. By analyzing typical cases, it isconcluded that the village wealth accumulation and the level of social security in ruralareas are positive correlation.So in the process of the perfection of rural social security system, we need mobilizethe forces of collective village to play a village-level wealth accumulation effect on therural social security. We must use rural existing and potential security resources to join inthe construction of rural security system. The collective villages play the important part toconstruction of rural society.
