Research On Farmers Behavior In The Implementation Of Agricultural Standardization

Agricultural standardization is mainly based upon agriculture as the object of standardization activities, and its essence is a kind of scientific activities of planting industry, breeding industry, processing industry and agriculture administration management and the service of agriculture. The implementation of agricultural standardization is conducive to protecting the agricultural products quality and consumer safety, promoting agricultural science and technology achievements transformation and industrialization, enhancing the international competitiveness of agricultural products and adjusting the import and export of agricultural products. Promoting agricultural standardization is the realistic choice for the construction of modern agriculture. Compared with developed countries, the agricultural standardization in China started late, and it is still at the primary stage. At present, small scale of farmers is the basic unit of management of agriculture in our country, and is the main body of agricultural production. Vegetables are important agricultural products, occupying the important position in people’s daily life. Hebei province is a big province of vegetables, and whether the level of production of vegetables standard can be improved is directly related to the development of vegetable industry. Handan is one of the main vegetable producing areas in Hebei province, and the giving priority to development of vegetable industry plays a role model to give priority to popularizing agriculture standard of vegetables in Hebei province. Therefore, this paper tries to make research on the Handan vegetable farmers’ participation behaviors in standardization of agricultural production in their will of the implementation of agricultural standardization. This will help to develop and improve the level of agricultural standardization of Handan city, and help to promote to synergism in agriculture, income on farmer. The main innovation is that it is a pioneered start from a specific vegetable farming region to study the behavior of farmers on the basis of the standardization of agricultural and farmers behavioral theory, narrowing the scope of agricultural products, thereby reducing the impact of differences in the behavior of agricultural varieties selected for farmers.This study is divided into six parts. The first part is the introduction, discussing the research background and significance. Domestic and international research on agricultural standardization, and farmer theory are reviewed. The subject is proposed based on the review of related literature, and we determine the research ideas according to the deficiencies of the present. In the second part we discuss the theories of agricultural standardization theory and the peasant household behavior. Next we analyze the development situation of Handan city agricultural standardization and vegetable industry. Cognitive behavior of Production, organization mode, selling behavior in the vegetables standardization are researched in the fourth part. The fifth part is as follows:firstly select variables, and then set the model, make descriptive statistics analysis on the survey sample of all variables, then set up logistic model, use SPSS19software to analyze the farmer behavior influence of agriculture standardization production factors and make further discussion. In the sixth part, this paper summarizes the research findings and combined with the practice, puting forward related suggestions. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) the vegetable standardization processs of Handan city is slow;(2) the degree of organization of cooperation should be improved;(3) the different scale of production has a certain impact on farmers to implement agricultural standardization. The major innovation is that we firstly study the behavior of farmers from a region specific vegetable planting on the basis of agricultural standardization and farmer behavior theory, narrowing the scope of agricultural products, so as to reduce the influence of different varieties of agricultural products to farmers’ choices.To sum up, according to the research results, several constructive policy references are finally put forward. Create conditions to guide farmers to participate in standardization production, for example, increase propaganda, raise awareness, create a favorable external environment, increase capital investment and technology training, improve the quality of rural labor force. Speed up the development of cooperation. In the external development environment, strengthen the construction of hardware facilities, build science and technology pilot demonstration system, lift the vegetables’ standardized production level of science and technology service. Establishing related facilities, mainly include:improving the land transfer system, setting up quality vegetable price mechanism and distribution channels, standardizing the market of vegetable products to make the market of vegetable products realize higher prices for better quality.
