Research On The Status Quo Of Hortiflora Fairs In The Yangtze River Delta Area

With the development of society and economy, all kinds of hortiflora fairs at home appearconstantly. The Yangtze river delta area, being the heartland of regional economic development ofChina, its flower industry grows rapidly. This paper, based on the field investigation with relative data,summarized and analyzed status quo of hortiflora fairs of Yangtze river delta area, meanwhile comparedwith excellent hortiflora fairs abroad. Aiming at the result of research, we put forward correspondingsuggestions so that we could offer help for the development of relative hortiflora fairs and flowerindustry. The main research result as follows:1. This research did comprehensive statistical analysis to the hortiflora fairs that numbered227ofYangtze river delta area held in latest five years, through the examination of relative document literatureand collection of big internet data, considering from the following aspects: spatial distribution, timedistribution, time distribution, composition of scale, floral theme, the venues and so on. The resultsshows that hortiflora fairs in Yangtze river delta area, which have something to do with the economicdevelopment, flower industry, tourism resource, have the characteristics, such as wide range, rapidgrowth and short history. Part of the area appear to grow extensively.2. Field research on the typical hortiflora fairs of Yangtze river delta area, we analysed deeply thespecific cases, such as Flowers and Plants Festival of Xiaoshan China, the8th China Flower Expo,Hortiflorexpo Shanghai, etc. Combined with the data analysis, the Status quo of hortiflora fairs weconclude is: dominated by government, being exploring marketization; diverse publicity approaches,network marketing model being basically formed; traditional fields dominating, new types showing upwithout a stop; comprehensive exhibitions being more comprehensive, professional exhibitions beingborn just at the right moment; number of exhibition increasing rapidly, the idea of household gardeningbeing prominent.3. Analyzing the characteristics and successful experience of Chelsea Flower Show and IPMESSEN which are excellent hortiflora fairs in the world, comparing hortiflora fairs in Yangtze riverdelta area and the ones abroad, we put forward five pieces of new thoughts: strengthening regionalcommunication; carrying out diverse innovative arrangement of exhibition; speeding up the cultivationof high-quality professionals; enhancing innovative ability; building professional website.
