Tourism spatial structure is the aggregation state of travel-related host-guest in the formation of geospatial, is a reflection of tourism activities in the geographic space form. Only if we get a well study of the scenic area tourism spatial structure, can we have a good planning of the tourist spatial layout, achieve the reasonable development of the tourism resources, get the optimize configuration of the tourism supporting services, and maximize the economic, social and ecological benefits of tourism development.Based on the growth pole theory, point axis theory, core edge theory and so on, in this paper, we get a empirical research of the East Lake Scenic Area tourism spatial structure according to the topology theory and the measurement geography mathematical methods. The study found that the East Lake Scenic Area tourism spatial structure exist the following problems.1. Tourism resources are too concentrated in the region leading to a large area remains at undeveloped state.2. Tourist traffic network prototype has formed basically, but the traffic line travel reception ability needs to improve.3. The season of travel time distribution is obvious.4. The scope of tourism destination has been extended from Tingtao Scenic Area, Luoyan Scenic Area, Moshan Scenic Area, Chuidi Scenic Area to the other areas. Accurate functional partition and positioning for other areas, setting up reasonable tourism activities and products, achieving differentiation development is the new problem that East Lake Scenic Area development faces to.5. The influence and market radiation ability is low, which not matches to the East Lake Scenic Area tourist resources endowment.6.Tourism products distribution is concentrated, product type structure is unreasonable, the development depth is not enough.On this basis, this paper accordingly puts forward the East Lake Scenic Area tourism spatial structure optimization measures, including:1. Grasp the overall situation, clear functional partition and positioning, implement differentiation development.2. Dig deeper into the tourism resource characteristic, develop artificial tourism product, realize the whole domain development.3. Make tourism festival products, expand the visibility and influence, realize the tourism development of the four seasons.4. Set up reasonable scenic inward and outward channels, improve the tourism traffic system.5. Build perfect tourism node system.6. Targeted for all levels of the tourism market marketing, meet the demand of different tourist travel market.
